Why We Built This Motorcycle
Ken Fanger with Two Chin’s orchestrated the coming together of this project with the sole purpose of supporting veterans. He was proud to transform and donate his personal trike during this project to honor his fellow Americans who have sacrificed so much for our country. He is thankful for “the Vets who have given us the freedom to live and the freedom to ride”. The intention behind the design of this custom cycle was to capture 250 years worth of historical moments in the fight for freedom.
How We Built This Motorcycle
Building this commemorative Harley-Davidson trike was a collaboration of American-made products with talented people in the industry. The two chin’s team implemented a Trask Performance full turbo system, SMT wheels, Paul Yaffe originals fenders, Klock Werks windshield, Dakota Digital speedometer and more.
Most Importantly, a full 360-degree airbrushed paintjob was done by the legendary Mickey Harris. Mickey has been a key part of this project, designing the chronological layout of the trike, and spending countless hours behind the airbrush gun. His love for art and design combined with his love for our country has allowed this anniversary trike to become a rolling piece of American history.
How to Support
This celebratory trike will be moving through the black hills until its final destination at the Barret-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, NV in early September. Through this charity auction, 100% of the proceeds will go to the Combat Control Foundation. This organization is first there in providing support to our U.S. Air Force’s Special Tactics Combat Controllers, their families, and other members from the community.
The trike will be displayed through June and July on the floor at the Lodge at Deadwood. During the 86th Official Sturgis Rally, the new Two Chin’s building on Main St will be showcasing the trike alongside Mickey Harris, Robert Patrick, and other supporters of the cause.
